Getting started

  1. Make sure uv is on your PATH, or use Python 3.10+ with langfuse installed
  2. Run /plugin install langfuse-observability@claude-plugins-official in Claude Code, then restart Claude Code
  3. Use /plugin configure to enter LANGFUSE_PUBLIC_KEY and LANGFUSE_SECRET_KEY
  4. Send a message and check the trace in Langfuse; if it fails, read ~/.claude/state/langfuse_hook.log

Before you install

Needs Langfuse API keys; without LANGFUSE_BASE_URL it sends to https://cloud.langfuse.com (EU region). Claude Desktop Chat mode is not traced.
